Inspired by their award-winning water resistant bronzer, this long-wearing formula will stay put in the toughest conditions so you don’t have to worry. Eye Shadow – It is tough to find more hardcore makeup afficiados than the folks at Make Up Forever. They have a brilliant Aqua line out this summer that covers your every need. May favorite is the Aqua Cream eye color. From basic to bold, this long-lasting cream shadow comes in 23 shades glorious shades to fit any event or outfit and will stay put. Eyeliner – Liquid liners are going to give the most staying power. Stila’s Stay All Day waterproof liquid eyeliner glides on easily, won’t smudge or run. Also, has a super convenient marker-like tip to make application a snap. $20 at Nordstrom
Mascara – For me, mascara is the most important cosmetic. If necessary, I can skip the rest, but not mascara. Yves Saint Laurent Voume Effet Faux Cils waterproof formula is coming in on top. YSL has mastered the art of mascara that gives even coats without clumping and packs a serious volume and lengthening punch. It is also gentle, so no worries about irritating sensitive eyes. It comes in four colors including blue and purple, so you can have a bit of fun with it. $30 at Nordstrom
Lips – This one is a bit easier as we are used to reapplying lip liner and color throughout our everyday lives. There are few products that can help staying power in heat and humidity. Sephora Collection offers a very smooth and blendable waterproof liner that goes the distance in
a wide range of colors.$12 at Sephora. For color, tints are always a safe bet as they last the longest, such as Benefit’s Benetint. But I like a bit more substance and shine. Make UpForever mixes the best of both worlds in its Aqua Rouge liquid lip color. It has the staying power and intensity of a stain, with the shine of a gloss – perfecto! $24 at Sephora
Now that we have achieved a truly flawless face of style, I like to finish it with a mist of 50 -70 SPF sunscreen. Neutrogena is my personal favorite as it has a light scent, does not leave a sticky residue and holds it all in place while I am sipping on my margarita poolside. As for the hair, well, sun hats are always in style.
